Welcome to episode 73

Middlemeister has briefly returned to us once again to discuss the story of his purchase of his new SNES mini, including missed buses and after hours openings. He also talks about the games on it as well. We look at the difference between the NES mini and some strangely missing games.

TheSuffolkRam has been playing another FPS puzzle game with Infinifactory. Building complex assembly lines making box based object for his alien overlords and getting random items as rewards.

We then begin discussing the new Star Trek series, Star Trek: Discovery. Big spoiler warning for this one. Ram wasn’t impressed, Middlemeiester preferred it more. We talk about the opening two episodes, the character development in it, the futuristic space ships and revamped Klingon’s.

We briefly talk about Wolfenstein 2 and the lack of automatically health recovery and why were glad quick saves don’t exist in real life.

We talk about the upcoming splatfest and the physic of toilet roll.

We also talk about Skazz domain of little people and the return of his WiiU

Welcome to episode 72

We kick off with discussing Black Mesa, the remake of the original Half Life. Both TheSuffolkRam and Skazz has been playing this following on from last episode discussion, Rams been getting nostalgia, Skazz less so.  We discuss our opinions on it, as well as Half Life in general and an alternative theory on Gordon Freeman.

We then move onto talking about Ram’s latest purchase, an Oculus Rift, he talks about the joy of setting it up, the magic that is VR and both good and bad game experiences.

We also discuss the various pictures appearing on Skazz’s Linux computer, writing on animals, Ethernet’s, boilers, health apps, and Skazz experience playing laser tag.

Welcome to our bumper long episode 71 birthday podcast.

We kick off talking about the next splatfest and the relative pros and cons of the superpowers flying or invisibility.

We then move onto the most important news of the month, it’s our birthday! join by making sure you have cake and beer available while listing to this podcast.

TheSuffolkRam kicks off with talking about space capitalism sim Offworld Trading Company, He discuss cornering the market on water, pirates and dealing with stocks.

Skazz has been playing GTA5 over the last few weeks. He talk about his experience trying to playing the game online, and we discuss our preferred GTA games.

Ram talks about re watching Star Trek: The Next Generation, this lead onto talk about Star Wars and other series such as a large talk about Breaking Bad, the last season of it and out favourite characters from it. We also talk about Better Call Saul, and what other spin off we would like to see.

We talk about the shut down of Miiverse and its impact on games, and we also discuss other online services coming to the end.

Finally we talk about the recently released ‘fan fiction’ of Half Life Episode 3 by head writer Marc Laidlaw, and our opinions of the games series.

We also discuss pig piggyback ride, mobility scooters and The Animals of Farthing Wood.

Welcome to episode 70

Once again middlemeister has abandoned us in favour of a BBQ.

Skazz has somehow managed to find time to play games despite it being the summer holidays. He’s become addicted to Rocket League. a physics game that combines football, cars and rockets. he talks about getting pwned in his first game and how he drive a Delorean

TheSuffolkRam has been hunting for signals in Bad Robot’s new game The Signal From Tolva. Exploring an Alien plant, taking control of robots and tough combat all in search for a mysterious signal.

Skazz talks about the recent Splatoon 2 splat fest that took part in after last podcast. His once again talks about his dislike of the character Pearl, the new maps for the event and overall dislike of them. he also talks about which he prefers more, Splatoon 1 or 2?

We talk about the recent hacking of HBO and the stolen episode, we have a rant about big companies lack of security and why their not learning.

We also discuss our pitch for a possible reboot of a computer themed Harry Potter, We talk about our favourite out of the Call Of Duty and Battlefield series of game, as well as discussing other military games. We look back at our old school fun times in older multiplayer games. we also discuss other non computer games including badminton, crochet and horse polo plus a new form of doping.

Welcome to episode 69

In this episode Skazz has not been playing anything due to the summer holiday. So it left to Middlemeister and TheSuffolkRam to pull it all together.

We kick off with Middlemeister, who’s been playing the heavily patched Mass Effect: Andromeda, searching out into the galaxy to find and terraform golden planets. We discuss improved game play, semi fixed facial animations, exploring planets and the new Nomad vehicle.

Ram has been playing a simple, funny first person adventure puzzle game with Maize, he talks about Russian stuff bears and trying too hard at humour.

Midddlemeister talks about the upcoming release of the Snes mini, the dangers of game and console pre-orders and once again how much we hate scalpers

Skazz talk about the next splatfest, how ice cream was fighting ice cream and the future choice of mayo vs ketchup and his dislike of Perl. He also looking forward to the new Steinsgate game Chaos;Child

We celebrate the future passing of Adobe Flash. We look at its past and also talk about other older pieces of software. we also take pots shots at JavaScript and how its so ingrained in the web. We also splurge into a discussion into Piracy and why people do it.

We also discuss our various Methods of character creation and the business possibility of battle pig, the changers to PlayStation plus, a brief Game Of Thrones talk including t-shirt news, splatoon 2’s splatfest, how rubbish NowTv app is and MySpace

Rand(Nerds); Episode 68

Welcome to episode 68, still no middlemeister, but were assures he will reappear soon.

We been playing anumber of gam,e this episode, kicking off with a game TheSuffolkRam’s was asked to play by Skazz, Stardew Valley. A re-imaging of the harvest moon series, with the player taking on the deed of a farm. Ram find himself getting tire by half seven the morning, and in the game as well. He talk about his frustrations with the game, dungeon diving, and non required housing for sheep plus discussion about minecraft.

Skazz has been playing Spaltoon two, delivered on time with no issues (well one…). Hes been painting ground, firing new weapons and putting up with people complaining about voice chat. He also tells us his answer to one of life most important questions – Ice Cream or Cake.

Ram has also been playing The Long Dark, a survival game set in the winery mountains of Canada, He give us a tale of his life in the wilderness, involving train tracks, sprained ankles, wolves, fishing and dysentery.

We then move onto news, with the annocment of new Doctor Who is going to be played by a female actress. Ram give his mixed views on the news and the reaction from the community.

Welcome to episode 67, First of all and apology’s for the background and 4G noise, we messed up with the mic placement bit

We start off by briefly talking about a game Skazz has not been playing, Tokyo Twilight Session FE (Post podcast we find out he had the name wrong), but leads us nicely into talking about the Nintendo Switch. We discuss build quality, some of it neat features and the exuberant cost of it accessory and games. Speaking of which, we go through a smattering of game available on it including Mario Cart 8 Deluxe and Lego’s city undercover. Skazz then moves onto the upcoming splatfest for Splatoon 2 and eating shellfish.

TheSuffolkRam has been having flashbacks to the late nineties with Doorkickers, a top down real time strategy, but with the neat twist of being able to pause at any moment and enter a planning phase similar to Rainbow Six

Ram then move onto talking about a political drama hes been watching with Designated Survivor. He talk about president Marty Sue, Convoluted plot lasting too long and his dislike of the series 24

It also time for us to compare our steam sale purchases, with Skazz having brought a few more then Ram (more then even he could believe) and also this year gimmick – Sticker books!

Finally we look at the news of Tencent putting restriction on the Honour of Kings game for under 18, we discuss gaming addiction, attitude to gaming changing and overreactions, as well as our modern safety culture

Welcome to episode 66

We kick off with an amazing event, Skazz has been playing a game! We’ve mentioned it before, and rouge like FPS starting wizard called Ziggurat. Carrying on with the previously discuss games, TheSuffolkRam has been playing the Sims 3. He talks about designing himself in game, issues with fire, the correct priorities of households purchases. Him and Skazz triad stories of trapping and killing sims and slapping clowns. Middlemeister has also been playing a rouge like with Steam world Heist, raiding ships and shooting robots.

 

We then move onto discussing the recent E3 show (with Skazz abstaining), talking about corporate EA, Long winded Microsoft conferences. A cartoon like Bethesda and a slightly weird Ubisoft. Skazz and Middlemestier then lead us with the Sony and Nitendo conferences and we pick our games of E3.

Welcome to episode 65

After a slightly wobbly start we start again more organised and back with using paper show notes. We kick off with TheSuffolkRam have been trying to prove he not a machine in The Turing Test by being lead through a series of test chambers with an AI talking to him.

Middlemeister has been catching up with some older game with The Witcher 3 and Metal Gear 5, Playing card games and sneaking around bases. We talk about our preferred Metal Gear Games and the relevant pros and cons of Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 including game play and some crazy boss battles. We also talk about stealth games, including one of Ram most liked game with Thief.

Ram’s been watching a bizarre Urban Fantasy with the 1990s TV series Neverwhere. A Neil Gaiman series made originally for Comic Relief, and featuring people who can open doors and eating rats, it is also incredibly hard to find.

We briefly mention the death of Peter Sallis and the passing of Roger Moore

We find out what Skazz does to homeless people and how it ties into his game addiction. Ram and Middlemeister share their childcare tips, We flashback to the Space Barbarian film devised due to lack of sleep, Middlemeister rapidly brings our podcast to a close.

Welcome to episode 64

Meddlemeister kicks us off this week with Resident Evil 7, looking for his girlfriend at an old plantation mansion featuring a scary family who like to kill or cut off each others limbs.

TheSuffolkRam has been playing the game that had a strange history in Prey, hes been having flashbacks to the polymorph from Red Dwarf and explains how he links games to alcohol.

TheSuffolkRam has amazingly been watching an Anime, along with Skazz called Blame!. Based on manga of the same name, set in a future with a city that decided to kill all its inhabitants.

Middlemeister has been watching a very violent show set in a wild west style town of Banshee, with a ex-con taking on the role of a sheriff and trying to reunite his ex girlfriend

Middlemesiter talks about the upcoming Farcry 5, one of Ram Favorited series which he managed to miss the announcement, this time set in america and featuring cows and tractors

We briefly discuss Alan Wake disappearing from Stem due to its music license running out. and also talk about the upcoming xbox pass and how most of us wont be touching it.
