Rand(Nerds); Episode 109

Welcome to Episode 109, where we are all ill and may not survive to the end.

We start off with Skazz discussing a couple of games, first off: a warriors style game but with ninja girls in Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus. next, he has been getting bored with spaceship/planet exploring game No Mans Sky.

Ram still has been trying to survive Zombie attacks in 7 Days to Die and also exploring caves with Scanner Sombre

Middlemester has been trying to leave the Moscow underground in Metro: Last Light, stealing guitars and rescuing children.

We don’t talk much TV, but do end up somehow talking about Star Wars and our very differing views of the Star Wars movies

Welcome to Episode 107
In this episode, with find Middlemeiseter and have a new audio setup. We have a flashback to episode 1 with Skazz playing Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force. A similar set of game mechanics to often talked about from our early podcast years: Hyperdimention Neptunia. TheSuffolkRam has been ill, so has only played briefly two games, first up is classic Star Wars game Knights of the old Republic and also briefly 7 Days to die. Middlemesiter has been playing the remake of Resident Evil 2, talking about the new control scheme and improved combat and changed to the original.
We then move on TV/Film, we don’t discuss Animal World from last episode as Skazz didn’t do his Homework in time for Podcast, but we do talk about The Man in The High Castle. The alternative history story set in 1960s america where the Nazi won WW2

Welcome to Episode 105, our first episode of 2019.
We kick off 2019 with Skazz discussing the newest Pokemon: Lets Go game with its initiative new control ball that you can take on a walk with you. He talks about the changed from the original Pokemon games both in structure and mechanics
TheSuffolkRam has been playing a smattering of game. He talk briefly about finishing Sniper Elite 4. Before moving on to the fun of defusing bombs in Keep talking and nobody explodes! Finally he talk about the early access game Kingdoms and Castles.
Ram also has been watching a cult classic Sci-Fi for the first time with Lexx. During discussion of Ram managers to forget who Tim Curry and Rutger Hauer are.
Finally we discuss the Steam sale, and a shocker from Skazz this episode… We also discuss Skazz future role in a Pixar film

Welcome to Episode 104, The 2018 Christmas Special
Middlemestier has been playing the PS1 classic and not been impressed with it game choice, we also discuss optimizations during the early days of gaming and the issue with PAL and NTSC. Skazz has a rant about the uprated switch being released next year
TheSuffolkRam has been playing his usual mix of odd games, first up is Consortium an story driven FPS, light on the shooting and heavy on story. He also been guiding baby cubs through a series of dangers with Shelter.
Skazz is carrying on with his Retro gaming by playing Way of the Samurai a game similar to Consortium above but set at the ending of the samurai age and actually good.
Finally we each pick our game of the year for 2018

Welcome to Episode 102
In this episode, Skazz discusses some of his old hardware and its current working state. We end up discussing Far Cry 3 and 4 again branching out into talking about stealth mechanics in games and alternative endings.
TheSuffolkRam has been taking disguises and drowning people in toilets in the 2016 version of Hitman. We look at some of the new features that have been added to the game.
Finally we look at the news of Valve first discontinuing the Steam Link, then the news on them causing a controversy with the ‘pay for everything’ aspect of their new CCG Artifact.
TheSuffolkRam tell us a story involving sheep and a MacBook Pro, we talk about having a pint with out favorite computer game characters and the problems with re-binding keys.

Welcome to Episode 101
We kick off we Middlemeister talking about everybody favorite sequel to GTA wild west game Red Dead Redemption 2. He talks about the story, the amazing graphics, some of the strange gameplay design choices and horse testicles.
Skazz has been playing one of the best shooters in recent year Farcry 3, however his opinions have changed somewhat on it. We discuss how the combat, hunting and stealth systems have aged, and how great Vass is as a character.  This lead onto a discussion of different play styles of the Nerds
TheSuffolkRam has been investigating abandoned space ship with drones in Duskers using a command line interface, its very atmospheric and quite creepy.
We then discuss the new Breaking Bad film. with massive SPOILERS! for the end of Breaking Bad. We talk about why we don’t want a film and also our through on the last season and characters of the series.
Plus we discuss if Mark Zuckerberg a american citizen or even human.

Rand(Nerds); Episode 100

We did it! we made it to episode 100! Welcome to our North Korea special!
After having our bit of cake, we begin with Skazz talking about another modern FPS with Wolfenstein the new colossus (SPOILERS AHEAD). We talk about some of the silly controversies around the game and how ridiculous they have become. The fun of the game play including the awesome throwing knives.
TheSuffolkRam has been playing the latest game from one of his favourite developers Big Robot. This time with the awkward title ‘The Light Keeps us Safe’.  Open-ish world survival horror stealth games that uses a light mechanic to interact and deal with killer robots around the world. He talks about the mechanics, the freaky robots and what has been produced so far.
Middlemeister has been playing Resident Evil 4 and putting children in bins as well as fighting mad Spanish people. He talks about the changes to the way the game plays compared to the first 3 and some of the interesting AI in the game.
Ram has been watching a cult classic MST3K, a series where they take the piss out of crap old films, and has not really seeing the funny side.
We also bore Middlemeister with coding talk and pathfinding. We also lose track discussing Resident Evil games and how to make horror films scary in  a world with mobile phones. We also discusses our ‘feelings’ on Star Wars.
